It started as friends, As it sometimes does, And blossomed from innocence, And grew into love.
The world would vanish, At the touch of her hand, Her eyes held me captive, Love was so grand.
But all was not well, As time would reveal, Two hearts would be broken, Never to heal.
Although we both tried, It just didn’t last, What once was my future, Became part of my past.
I’ll always love her, Her memory not forgot
